Apex Consistency Rule Explained (2026 Update)
Everything you need to know about the Apex Trader Funding consistency rules. Updated for March 2026: now 50% rule, EOD/Trailing drawdown options, 5 days between payouts.
As of March 2026, no single trading day can account for more than 50% of your total profit when requesting a payout. This is more relaxed than the previous 30% rule.
Formula: Biggest Winning Day / Total Profit <= 50%
When it applies: All 6 payouts. Each payout is capped at a maximum amount. After payout 6, the PA is closed.
Reset: The rule resets after each approved payout, applying only to profits earned after the last payout.
Apex now offers two drawdown types. Both use the same 50% consistency rule.
EOD (End of Day): Drawdown calculated once daily at 4:59:59 PM ET based on closing balance. Has Daily Loss Limit (DLL).
Trailing Drawdown: Real-time drawdown that trails up as equity makes new highs. Never moves down.
Note: The MAE rule has been removed as of March 2026.
Payouts 1-5: 50% consistency rule applies. You can withdraw up to 50% of profits.
Payout 6+: No consistency rule. Withdraw everything above account size + $100.
Trading days: Only 5 trading days required between payouts (reduced from 8 in 2026).
Processing: Payouts are now automated with no manual review.
